Reflective model according to Rolfe et al.

This is a description of how Rolfe's model of reflection should be used in order to improve practice and learning.

Etiquette at University

When joining a University it is imperative to acquaint yourself with the usual habits and rules. Generally, however, you should always be on time and be polite.

Teaching and reflective practice

Teaching and learning are complex due to the many factors that impact what happens in a classroom. Teachers need to constantly adapt and change their activities and plans accordingly. And in order to do just that in an efficient and effective way, teachers must be reflective.

The bilingual’s relationship with language

Having a bilingual child does not necessarily mean that the child’s relationship with languages is an easy one. It is possible that your bilingual child simultaneously loves and loathes languages.

Challenges in bilingual families no one tells you about

Bringing up a child bilingually is a conscious decision, but there are issues and challenges that bilingual families encounter that are not mentioned in any of those handbooks or parent guides. Knowing about these might have had led to fewer disappointments.

Challenges for mentors

Being a mentor for trainee teachers is rewarding and challenging at the same time. Ultimately, the smiles on a trainee teacher's face after successful lessons is definitely worth every battle against all odds.
